Blackwell Grange Shoot

Check out these pics from Fridays shoot at Blackwell Grange Hotel in Darlington. We had a really cracking day at the Hotel, who were excellent throughout. Very welcoming and hospitable, the venue is absolutely gorgeous and the staff were fantastic. A massive thank you to Karen, the Wedding Coordinator, for looking after us all and providing the perfect backdrop for these images. See more of the venue at http://www.blackwellgrangehotel.com/.   A huge thank you must also go out to http://www.butterfliesoccasions.co.uk/ and http://www.bridalbarn.co.uk/ for providing the beautiful wedding gowns and suits for our grooms. Again, fantastic products which I only hope I have done justice to in these shots. Our models looked absolutely stunning in the dresses, especially with Adrian Wray from Chocolate Mobile Hair Styling bringing his expertise in fashionable hair styling to the table. Ady was really fun to work with and his hair styling was perfect, cheers Ady! Kim Groves of http://www.fineandfunkyevents.com/ came along with a selection of her brilliant, vintage props and items which really helped to give that little bit of extra depth and quality to the day. We loved Kims quirky styling and the fake moustaches were a huge hit!
We were hoping for brighter weather for the morning as http://www.lovedubcars.co.uk/ brought along a 1979 bay window Camper Van along with a 1975 Beetle! We wanted to get the models into position in and around these fully restored, absolutley gorgeous, classic vehicles which I hold very close to my heart. We did a have small break in the weather and managed to get a few shots with one of our couples in the frame. DEFINATELY want to shoot these beautiful machines again, they are the superbly photogenic and I have not seen better examples. Maybe we'll hit the beach once the weather brightens up and shoot a surfy style mock wedding? SOUNDS GOOD!!!

Last but certainly not least, I must express my deepest gratitude to Katie Byram for coming along at the eleventh hour to help out with the photos. The day was such a whirlwind and if i'd of been left to try to get through everything on my own I would of wanted the world to swallow me whole! Thank you so much Katie for coming along and being very laid back and easy to work with. An absolute pleasure! Katie shot some fab images of the products on offer by fine and funky events, and you can view theses at http://www.fineandfunkyevents.com/photoshoot-at-blackwell-grange.html

All in all the day was superb and very productive. I met some great people and had a great time shooting some cracking images. Thanks to everyone who helped to make it happen. YOU ROCK!!!!

A few images from Michelle and Mikes wedding last summer. This was fantastic to be a part of as i've known Mike since we were at Rosehill Infant School aged 3! My Fiance Emma was Bridesmaid for Michelle's elder sister too, at her Maltese wedding in Valletta. The day was peppered with familiar faces which made for plenty of good banter and loads of opportunities to get some cracking shots, all set in the church at our old Junior School.
Much love to Michelle and Mike, we had a blast! xx

The Ranch

Back in Autumn a few of the girls I know agreed to shoot some portfolio shots at Lorraines MASSIVE new gaff, its a gorgeous place to live, set in fantastic grounds with stables, very plush! Thanks Lorraine, Emma, Louise and Catherine for pitching in.

Last Summer.....

Just a few pics from a wedding I shot last summer. The Tan Hill Inn was great, a real old style pub venue with a laidback atmosphere and style. The wedding party were joined by a group of bikers from Yorkshire and there were sheep milling around all afternoon. Good people in good surroundings made for a non-traditional, chilled out wedding. Right up my street.
